We have always invested in I.C.T. in the school. All classrooms have Interactive Whiteboards which are used to enhance teaching and learning. For the past number of years we have built up our stock of iPads for pupils.Children use their individual iPads and laptops on a daily basis to complement their learning in phonics, spellings, maths and tables. In 2020 we also began Coding lessons which will be further developed as the year goes by.
Blended Learning
During lockdown, Dromclough N.S. pupils enjoyed daily Zoom classes and also kept in contact through Edmodo. It was very important that they were able to see and chat to their teachers and friends every day.They especially loved their remote art lessons when everyone joined in from home on their school iPads. Getting a package in the post each week with activities and timetable was also a great boost for them.
